GHD Gold Straightener

The ghd Gold Hair Iron was ghd’s first deluxe launch, with its sleek design and smart features that allowed you create and perfect different hairstyles. The ghd Gold Styler is for those who want top results whenever they style their hair.

Gone is the plastic grey casing with its signature gold plates. The new ghd Gold Styler boasts a streamlined black body with charcoal grey plates, a symmetrical hinge and sparkly new silver ghd logo. Gone is the power switch with red light, replaced with a stylish illuminated button.

Dual-zone technology of the ghd Gold Straightener works to maintain the optimum 185ºC temperature while the floating plates will allow you to glide through your hair snag free. The rounded barrel also allows you to work your hair into curls or waves.

GHD Platinum+ Straightener

The glitzy ghd Platinum+ Styler is for anyone who is all about aesthetics. Like the ghd Gold Styler, the Platinum+ comes with sleek contoured edges, a wider body and luxe wishbone hinge.

The ghd Platinum+ styler preheats with the same button as the ghd Gold, but reaches the optimum 185ºC a little quicker and the preheated alert chime is a little easier on the ear than the ghd Gold.

Ghd has upgraded the heat sensors to ultra-zone technology that monitors heat hundreds of times each second to ensure the styler stays at 185ºC and the glossy plates also leave a shinier finish compared to the ghd Gold.

The ghd Platinum+ has a silkier feel than the ghd Gold when gliding through the locks, while the unique wishbone hinge makes for more control over the hair when styling. The ghd Platinum+ also works quicker than the ghd Gold given the more advanced plates that can work on larger sections of hair.

Both the ghd Gold Straightener and the ghd Platinum+ are intelligent tools featuring advanced technology. If you are looking for something to class up your dressing table we recommend the ghd Platinum+, but if you are deciding solely based on the performance and results then it really depends on hair type.

For those with thick, coarse or naturally frizzy or curly locks, the Platinum+ will make for faster styling that will last longer on your hair type. Dry or damaged hair will also benefit from the ghd Platinum+ Straighteners ultra-zone technology.

But for those with finer or easy to manage hair, there is absolutely no reason for the ghd Gold Styler not to meet all of your hair needs.
